I Like Big Bows and I Cannot Lie: Host a Holiday Wrapping Party
If you are like my family, we love to find ways during the holiday season to give back to those in need and spend time with friends and family. But, there’s also all of the to-dos like wrapping gifts, baking, and more. So, what do you do!? Combine some of these things into one fun and fabulous holiday get together.
Instead of exchanging gifts with friends or extended family, look at adopting a family in need in your area and shop for them! My friends and I split up the items and then all come together for some holiday treats, drinks, and a wrapping party.
This is also something you can host with friends or family, even if you just need to wrap gifts for your own family.
First, gather up some supplies!

What You Need
Gift Wrap
Boxes in varying sizes
Gift Bags
Tissue Paper
Ribbons and Bows
Gift Tags
Pens and Markers
Scissors
Tape
You can grab a handy dandy checklist from my friend Elva M. Design. She created all of the coordinating printables for this event!
Setting up a Gift Wrap Station
Use a dining room table or folding table, throw on a table cloth, and set out your supplies! Metal caddies make great storage for scissors, tapes, bows, and any other items!
If you want to really go wild, use some bows and foam board, to create a little backdrop! My favorite spot to grab foam board is Dollar Tree.
Sprinkle in some of the Elva M. Design printables with fun “wrap” puns and you are set to go!
Additional Tips!
Keep food and drink simple! Ask guests to bring an app to share and offer some crockpot cocoa or mulled wine. I also recommend putting on your favorite holiday tunes and have a fire going— even if it’s a Yule Log on Netflix!
Happy wrapping!
