Apothecary Jars: St. Patrick's Day Edition

With Easter always around the corner, it seems like St. Paddy's Day often gets the decoration shaft as we move from hearts and flowers to to Easter pastels. But, I am huge fan of green, so I can't pass up the opportunity to be festive for the ol' Irish! And, luckily this year Easter is in April, so there's plenty of time for shamrocks during March!

If you are a regular reader of the blog, you might remember that I am a big fan of using apothecary jars for seasonal decor. It's easy and economical!

The fillers I use for St. Paddy's day are:

  • Shamrock garland (Dollar Tree $1)

Shamrock green garland makes a great vase or apothecary jar filler for St. Patrick's Day.

  • Gold Coins (Dollar Tree $1 a pack)

  • Leprechaun Hats (I got mine at Michaels  a few years back, but I would check local craft stores if your on the lookout for these.)

Use apothecary jars for St. Patrick's Day decor by filling them with gold coins and leprechaun hats.

This year I was really excited to use them on mantel that has been newly minted with shiplap (tutorial to come, I promise!).  You might recognize many of the crafty goodies I featured on the blog last year. I am excited to share more St. Patrick's Day fun next week!
